The Australasian College of Dermatologists
8th Rural Dermatology Meeting
6-8 September 2024
Hobart, Tasmania

About the Meeting

Taking place at the Hobart Function and Conference Centre on the picturesque Elizabeth Street Pier from Friday 6 September to Sunday 8 September 2024, College invites you to attend the 8th Rural Dermatology Meeting.

The ACD Rural Dermatology Meeting provides an opportunity for College Fellows, trainees and other medical professionals to come together to discuss clinical and professional challenges and opportunities for dermatology practice in rural and remote areas.

The meeting will build on the themes and recommendations from past conferences and promises to be an engaging interactive forum.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Caring in Dermatology

The theme for 2024 centres around care.  Over the three day conference there will be focus on ‘Caring for Ourselves’ – a deep dive into practitioner wellbeing, dealing with isolation, peer support and self-care. ‘Caring for the Environment’ will also be part of the discussion – key topics include the impact of climate change on skin health, the impact on First Nations peoples, practical ideas to create a more sustainable practice and more. Finally ‘Caring for our Rural Patients’ will round out the meeting, delving into themes about understanding the community we serve, innovative service delivery, updates in First Nations dermatology care and a view to the future with presentations from registrars.
