Common Hair Disorders (Scarring and Non-Scarring)

The Skin Hospital is delighted that Dr Frances Tefany will present at our next Educational Webinar Series for Dermatologists. Dr Tefany will present on common hair disorders, covering scarring and non-scarring hair conditions, on Wednesday, 25 October 2023, from 7.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m.
Dr Frances Tefany has over 30 years of experience as a clinical dermatologist. She is a qualified dermatologist and a member of the Australasian College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
Dr Tefany commenced her studies at the University of NSW completing her M.B.B.S and completed an MD from the University of Sydney in 1992. She has also completed a PHD at the University of Sydney; researching primary malignant melanoma, and her F.A.C.D through the Australasian College of Dermatology.
Throughout her career Dr Frances has worked at Westmead, RPA, St. Vincent’s and Liverpool Hospitals in NSW, the Skin and Cancer Centre in New York (USA), and most recently, in private practice in the Southern Highlands of NSW (since 1993) and at The Skin Hospital.
As well as practising, Dr Frances has been involved with both undergraduate and post-graduate dermatology training through the University of Wollongong and at the University of NSW.
Dr Frances’ particular interests include malignant melanoma, treatment of skin cancers, management of psoriasis and autoimmune conditions, management of acne, disorders of the hair and nails and paediatric dermatology.
