Crusted scabies survey

The One Disease Foundation is working in the Northern Territory (NT) with the aim of eliminating crusted scabies. Uncomplicated scabies is not a notifiable disease anywhere in Australia and only the NT notifies crusted scabies.
A survey is being conducted to get an estimate of the incidence of crusted scabies in the non-Aboriginal population in urban areas of Australia by seeking an indication from other relevant practitioners if they have been involved in the management of crusted scabies cases in the past 12 months. Collection is on the number of patients seen, not details of diagnosis or therapy. The survey is being sent to other infectious diseases physicians across the country.
