MJA article

The Medical Journal of Australia (MJA) has published an article on the invasive melanoma rates in Victoria.

Co-authored by College Fellows, Associate Professor Saxon Smith and Professor Chris McCormack; and trainee Dr Victoria Harris, the study shows that the incidence of invasive melanoma has been declining in Victorians aged under 55 but is still climbing in those aged 55 years or more, although at a slower rate than before the mid-1990s.

A/Prof Saxon says: “Whilst the incidence of invasive melanoma is steady in women, for men over the age of 55 it continues to increase year on year.”
